When someone does a kindness, it always seems to me
That’s the way God up in Heaven
Would like us all to be…
For when we bring some pleasure
To another human heart,
We have followed in His footsteps
And we’ve had a little part
In serving Him who loves us –
For I’m very sure it’s true
That in serving those around us
We serve and please Him too.
The Bentley Family wanted to express how thankful that I and my family are to this organization that has been so loving, caring, hardworking and devoted to our children’s education. Your organization has been there for Max’s education for the past 8 years.
Thank you.

TO: Parents Advancing Choice in Education – PACE
FROM: Rhine Morland – PACE Ohio College Recipient
SUBJECT: I appreciate PACE
My name is Rhine Morland, and I am writing this letter to thank you personally for your generous support in my college education I am honored to be a recipient of the PACE Scholarship. Your gift is helping me to afford college
My future plans include pursuing a career in Mechanical Engineering and professional golf. The PACE scholarship that I have received, thanks to you enhances my career.
My first few months as a freshman at UD (University of Dayton) have been challenging and inspiring. I would most of all like to thank all the staff and volunteers for the seminars that you give to help students prepare for college. Thanks you for the pep talk to inform students what college is like, what to avoid, and the consequences in choices that we make.
Once again, I offer sincerest thanks to your generous organization, for assisting me in obtaining my goals. I hope to be able to help students acquire their educational endeavors as you have.
Thank you for the Scholarship, it helped a lot! My favorite subjects in school are reading, science and religion. I’ve been in St. Helen for almost 3 years. I like St. Helens because they make me feel safe. Last year I had 1st communion, I read the reading during Mass. I was one of the main characters in the play “lemon sisters.” Also, as a reward I had lunch with my teacher Ms. Coivon.
Thank you for everything!

To Whom it may concern: (at PACE)
Having successfully finished my first year of college, I feel as though it is only right for me to take the time to thank those who helped make it possible for me to attend the college of my choice. Obviously, I need to thank my friends for encouraging me, my family for giving me the confidence to do well and most importantly, those person who give generously to PACE for making it financially possible.
Without the financial assistance I have received, I would not be able to attend the University of Cincinnati to study nursing and work toward fulfilling my dream of helping people through the healthcare system. The scholarship you have provided has given me a chance to pursue a career and a life of helping others who are sick, frightened, and vulnerable.
Please do not take for granted your choice to generously support young adults in their decision to pursue a quality education. Often we students become discouraged and intimidated by the amount of hard work and perseverance it exacts from us. However, for me, knowing that someone believes enough in me and my abilities to freely contribute his or her money gives me the confidence to succeed beyond all measure. Therefore, I wholeheartedly thank you for your generosity and support. Your gifts will not be taken for granted.
Sincerely,
Daniel Laughlin, College Student

To the contributors of the PACE Scholarship & PACE Staff:
Thank you for giving me the opportunity for an education at Wright State University, where I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience. I attend WSU full time. I also work full time at Grandview Medical Center as a unit secretary on a step-down ICU.
I try to balance my time wisely. Without your generous monetary support, I would have had a much rougher time in school. Thanks to everyone at PACE, I did not have to worry about paying for school; between my PACE scholarship and federal student loans I am able to pay for my tuition, worry-free!! I will graduate from WSU in the Spring of 2011. My plans, afterwards are to take the LSAT (law entrance exam) and apply for admission into law school. The money you have invested in me will be used well.
Thanks again for all the support PACE has offered to me. I am truly lucky to have been a recipient of the PACE scholarship.
I would like to extend my deepest thanks to all sponsors, administrative and staff of the PACE organization.
Because of PACE, I have eliminated an entire loan from my financial aid package. Education is one of the most powerful tools for change and prosperity. It is truly a blessing to receive financial and personal support, because it makes higher education a more plausible goal.
I hope to in the future, to give back by teaching and make college an option and a choice for many.
Thanks,
Claire F. (student)

Daria,
Its not enough to just send your child off to college. It is a process that begins with the parents being well informed so that they can help their child succeed even before they arrive on campus. If you looking for an organization that does this, PACE is the right place! It helps parents access the necessary information so they can be actively engaged in their child's college process from day one.
PACE not only helps dreams come true but they help future generations have a real chance. As a national speaker and award winning author, I have partnered with numerous organizations that help parents and students transition into college. Of all of these organizations, PACE exhibits all of the characteristics that every parent organization should strive for. It takes a community to raise a child and PACE does its part very effectively.
Tawan Perry, National Speaker
Hello Daria,
I don’t know if you remember me, I’m Donna Waller, you helped me construct my resume a while back. I finally landed a great permanent job here at UD. Praise God! Thank you so much for your help. You were so responsive and helpful. If I can ever do anything to help you or anyone you know, please let me know. People like you are precious to us all. Please note my new email address and keep me on your list.
Thanks again.
Donna Waller
Dear PACE Members: It is not duty, but a keen sense of gratitude that compels me to express my heartfelt appreciation for the financial assistance your organization provided for my family over the years. Initially, you provided emergency benefits for all my children, later, you allowed my child to participate in the Family Education Program. Your generosity enabled me to afford a private school education for her. I am deeply indebted to you for your timely help, concern shown and positive steps taken to make this possible.br />
In addition to financial aid, you provided college research help; family education support; home visits; preparation information for college; help in preparing the FASFA and a college tour. Your conceptual skills in knowing my need, your step by step approach and attention to detail in your presentation, your meticulous planning and implementation of your recommendations, all handed out with kindness will forever be remembered.
It is indeed my pleasure to inform you that the satisfaction my family received is praiseworthy. You answered every time I had a question and all doubts were cleared up, reassurance and confidence were reinforced throughout the entire process. The success of any organization depends on its internal structure, and PACE certainly has what it takes. Thank YOU and GOD BLESS!
---A grateful PACE Parent

MRS. STONE, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I DIDN’T RECEIVE THE SCHOLARSHIP THAT I INTERVIEWED FOR. HOWEVER, I REMEMBERED THE KIND WORDS AND PRAYER THAT YOU HAD FOR ME. I WAS EXCITED WHEN I RECEIVED $3,000 RENEWABLE OVER A PERIOD OF 4 YEARS (FOR COLLEGE)!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND GOD BLESS.

To the PACE Staff: “I would like to thank you for all the things you guys are doing for me with the school and preparations for college. I would also like to thank you for sending me on the college tours – it was a blast and a big help with my college choices and the laptop that was a life saver. I look forward to all the things you have in store for students – including me.”
“I Just wanted to let you know what a blessing your program has been to our families. Needless to say, there is no way I could do what I do for my children without you (PACE). Your services are very much appreciated. I also wanted you to know how welcoming it is to have your staff greet each parent with a smile and be sent away with a hug.”
Dear Ms. Bonnie and Staff: “You have allowed a dream become a reality for me and my family. Pushing me to bring up my ACT/SAT Scores has allowed me to get offers from schools everywhere. I will be one of the first in my family to attend college – you are serious about helping others.”
“The Parent Workshop on Getting to Know Your High Schools was helpful and informative and I learned a lot about the OGT. This needs to offered in more detail, more often.”
“The Parent Meetings are worth every minute of duration, and I am glad you offer them. Our students need separate meetings as well – so parents and students can learn at the same time. You guys are serious about educating parents.”
Thank you so much PACE: “Every time a heart is touched by kindness, another flower blooms. The help you make available for my family is so appreciated. Thank you for all the hard work.”
“Ms. Carolyn, I would not be the productive citizen I am today had it not been for your guidance and now that you at PACE, well more students will enjoy the fruits of your labor of love."
Dear Daria & PACE Staff: I just wanted to write you a note to express gratitude for the program. While I know you work very hard with the parents and all the funding sources, you miss the part that makes it all worthwhile. If you could see the smiles that you bring to the parents, who understand the value of the gift you give them. You can see in their smile how they are hoping their child has a shot of living the dream. Their smiles are unlike other smiles because it is one that comes deep within their souls. Daria, you and PACE bring more smiles than Walt Disney could ever dream of producing. The children will forever carry the fruits of your labor forward as they help make this a better community. Our church and school staff sincerely thank you and the PACE organization for all your efforts. You really do make a difference in people’s lives.”
